Church at Long Lac

Wendy has been fortunate in her life to be able to travel. Europe, South America, and the United States. And what she enjoys most, is riding across Canada on the back of a motorcycle. This may seem an odd place for an artist to gain inspiration but she is able to get up close and personal with the landscape. Wendy carries her camera and journal/sketch book everywhere.
She has had the opportunity to live in four very different areas of Ontario. Brant County, flat rolling farmland. Kapuskasing, flat clay plains of scrub and black spruce. Atikokan, the edge of the Canadian Shield, a place of swamps and lakes. And lastly Haliburton County, central Ontario, the heart of the Canadian shield. The landscape where she lives gives her the opportunity to paint just outside her studio door.
